Due to its boosted accuracy, three-shot burst, and very respectable PV and damage, this is an excellent all-purpose ranged weapon for almost any character.
Strangely, the masterwork carbine cannot be assessed using Psychometry to acquire the carbine Tinkering recipe; the game appears to treat it as a different, non-craftable weapon type. It can still be disassembled as normal
