QudCybernetics

Cybernetics are special enhancements available to True Kin. Each True Kin can select a single cybernetic enhancement at character generation from a more limited list of those available. Unlike Mutations, Cybernetics aren't upgrade-able yet but it is interchangeable to your suiting.

Becoming Nook Edit

You can install or remove cybernetics freely at any Becoming Nook.

  • Rusted Archway is the earliest guaranteed encounter for this, there would be a becoming nook at the end of the dungeon
  • Grit Gate has a becoming nook, but you won't access it before the inhabitant trust you enough to let you in (or you somehow forced your way trough). Q Girl who lives in there sells a Credit Wedge which is very valuable.
  • Bethesda Susa has becoming nook (four of them occasionally) right before its final room
  • Dungeons, Underground, and Legendary Lairs tend to have becoming nook rarely spawns

Obtaining Cybernetics Edit

  • Every Becoming Nook will have a rack beside it with a new cybernetic enhancement or two on it; you can install cybernetics either from the rack or directly from your inventory using the computer on the Becoming Nook.
  • You can also acquire new cybernetics by using Butchery on the corpse of someone who had one; however the only opponents likely to have cybernetics are Putus Templar Wardens and since you are playing as a True Kin, they are likelier to be in friendly terms with you with you.
  • Depending on your Arcologies, True Kins have unique Cybernetics augment that are exclusively obtained during character creation

Installing Cybernetics Edit

Installing cybernetics costs nothing, but you must have the License Points available to support your total installed cybernetics. The cybernetics that you can install, depends on your available body-parts, and they cannot overlap from eachother, funny enough the augmentation requires your bodypart to not be Dismembered even though you are trying to install bodypart replacements such as Bionic Hands & Arms, or even those which states itself to amputates your legs during its installation, aka. the Motorized Threads

You start with 2 License Points, and can buy more using Cybernetics Credit Wedges, which are frequently found near Becoming Nooks and can often be found or purchased elsewhere. Improving your License Points becomes more expensive the higher it gets up to

  • 1 Credit for Tier 1 to 8
  • 2 Credits for Tier 9 to 16
  • 3 Credits for Tier 17 to 24
  • 4 Credits for Tier 25+

According to the selection, the maximum licenses level you need is no more than the fourth license level.
