Trade goods are items used for trading with other creatures.
If trade good has is price shown in yellow (instead of blue), its buy and sell price will remain the same, no matter what your Ego modifier it. They, together with Fresh Water, can be seen as the currency of Qud.
Note that trade goods with the price shown in blue (instead of yellow) are still traded like regular items, and their buy and sell price will depend on your ego value.
Notes[edit | edit source]
Because collecting trade goods can accumulate a considerable amount of weight, one should always exchange one's trade goods for trade goods of a higher value and better value/weight ratio.
This is especially true for fresh water. Keeping around 100-120 drams of fresh water on your inventory is more than enough to supply yourself. The rest should be used to aquire more higher value trade goods.
