They are split up into 5 Categories:
You start with 12 mutation points to spend at character creation. The cost varies between mutations and the more expensive ones are generally stronger and tend to be upgradable compared to the ones that cost less. Defects have negative point costs, allowing you to spend more points on desirable mutations.
Physical mutations can alter almost any attribute of your character's body, from number of limbs, attribute scores, natural weapons, to Natural Armor. Most are passive, with a few granting activated abilities. Mental mutations, on the other hand, grant mostly activated abilities, with few passive bonuses.
Certain mutations cannot be gained by the player character at startup nor through random mutation, but appear in NPCs.
